A YEARLY EXAMEN 2022
Someone called Ignatius of Loyola developed a spiritual exercise called The Daily Examen, which is a technique of prayerful reflection on the events of the day in order to detect God’s presence and discern his direction for us. The Examen is an ancient practice in the Church that can help us see God’s hand at work in our whole experience.
At the end of every year we like to do what we call The Yearly Examen where we reflect on God's presence in the year behind us, and invite God's vision for the year ahead of us.
To help us do that we developed a tool (click on image) with specific questions to help us remember key moments in the past year, as well as specific questions to help us receive God's perspective on what's next.
Feel free to print it off and use it in whatever way would be helpful.
